New Community updated

Because my line of work is in information technology, I've participated in work related forums and technical support boards for quite some time. When I first started blogging in 2005, it wasn't for work though. I did it because I had words and a voice that needed an outlet and an interest in this new method of online communicating. It was freeing because it was anonymous but allowed others to see into my life and maybe find a commonality that could connect us in some way. It also enabled a method to record events so I'll remember the details of what happened when I'm old and gray (hey, stay quiet in the peanut gallery :)). You know, like when I burned the heck out of my hand making that Valentine picnic.

I was a bit more prolific back in 2005/06, although never one to post every day or multiple posts in one day. The enjoyment of blogging about things that occurred naturally, always overshadowed looking for things to blog about. Although I did find myself paying more attention to details back then. The year's birthdays and anniversaries were there to shout out and daily musings of nothing at all were shared because I could. If there wasn't anything of particular interest to write, I made lists and told anecdotes and waited for comments to be written because I like that interaction. I've posted plenty of pictures of myself, although none of them have showed my entire face for the world to see.

This year, I have found that I have less and less to say anonymously and although I want to continue to connect with the online community, this space isn't really doing it for me. Oh, I think there is still is more to write here and I most definitely will continue to read yours and comment but I have opened up a new place recently. It has been taking up my online time the past couple of weeks as I have found friends and family to banter back and forth with. It's more real and 3D and fits my mood right now. So, if you don't see me for awhile, it's because I'm over there. If you would like to connect in that place, let me know at my email address. See you around.

I've been spending more time in that same space, too. Only my problem is that I have to keep blog people separate from there because I don't want the 3-D people to know about the blog. Ugh, it makes my brain hurt!

Yeah, I understand Sassy. Most of my family is unaware of my blog and no one at work knows of it either. Kind of a parallel universe :) I've been drawn to FB because it is more 3D and I like sharing the real right now.

Facebook is calling your name, weese :)

Portar, I'll send you an invitation. Look for it from my real name.

You are pealing your onion, clammy! I am only vaugly aware of the face stuff. I don't know how to connect the two and maybe they should remain in separate spaces?
