Go on, you old bee charmer

I've been feeling a bit of malaise about my job lately. You know the feeling - kind of tired and bored and uninterested. So as I ended the year and turned the page to a new one I decided to clean my work desk because something like that is good for the soul. A break from the year past and a way to make room for the future, a weight lifted. Ahhh. feels good. I told one of my co-workers today that I couldn't remember the last time I had seen the left corner of my desk.
So I guess it's part of this fresh air look at 2009 that today, as I was slip-sliding my way to work, I drove by a sign advertising "Beginning Beekeeping" This is fascinating. Beekeeping. Maybe I've found a new career. Can one have a career in beekeeping? How many bees do you have to keep and how much honey will they produce. I can just see it now, my neighbors all gathering around wondering where all that buzzing is coming from.
Truthfully I wish I could spin a good story like Idgie did. How it flowed from her mouth as smooth as silk. When I tell a story, you better have a long attention span, because its going to take a little time to get it all out. Maybe instead of beekeeping, I should take beginning storytelling. Ha.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to 2009 and all the stories that are told and shared.

Happy New Year Clammy. Life is short and you have to grab all the gusto you may, even if you may get stung a few times along the way. Bee humor, get it? Savor each day like it's your last and when all is said and done, money/careers are the least important part of our lives. Just bee happy and Happy 2009. SC
